Privacy Policy
Chio is made by SimSoft Studio. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Chio. The short version: Chio does not collect any data.
What we collect
Nothing. Chio has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads and no third-party code. It never connects to the internet, so nothing you enter can reach us or anyone else.
What stays on your iPhone
The app keeps the following on your device only:
- Your entries: amount, category, income or expense, date and time
- Your categories, pinned tiles and their order
- Settings such as your currency and haptic feedback
- How often you tap a suggestion, counted on the device to improve suggestions
This data is stored with Apple's SwiftData inside the app's own storage on your iPhone. The Chio widget reads the same storage through an App Group on the same device. The habit learning that picks your suggestions runs entirely on your iPhone.
iCloud and backups
Chio 1.0 does not use iCloud sync. If you back up your iPhone with iCloud Backup or a computer, iOS may include Chio's data in that backup, as it does for any app. Those backups are handled by Apple and your own devices; we have no access to them.
Deleting your data
Go to Settings → Erase All Data in the app to delete every entry, pin and setting. Deleting the app also deletes its data from your iPhone.
If you email us
If you contact us through Send Feedback or by email, we receive only what you choose to send, and use it only to reply to you.
Children
Chio does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
