Privacy Policy
WorkLog ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.
Data We Collect
WorkLog stores your data on your device (and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud — see below). We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our own servers.
The app stores the following data:
- Job names, hourly rates, and currencies you create
- Work logs including start time, end time, and break durations
- App preferences and settings
iCloud Sync (iPhone and iPad only)
If you are signed in to iCloud, WorkLog syncs your jobs and logs across your devices using Apple's CloudKit. This data is stored in your own private iCloud database, which only you can access — we cannot see it. If you are not signed in to iCloud, your data stays only on your device. You can turn sync off by signing out of iCloud in iOS Settings.
Android
WorkLog for Android keeps your data on your device only, in the app's own storage. There is no iCloud sync and no sync between devices, and the app has no internet permission. Android's Auto Backup may copy the app's data (jobs, logs, and settings) into your own Google backup, according to your device's backup settings; we cannot see or read that backup. A shift that is currently running is not included in the backup.
On Android, the app uses the notification permission to show your running shift, and a restart permission to re-post that notification after the phone restarts. It does not use location, contacts, or camera, and contains no ads, analytics, or third-party SDKs.
Data We Do Not Collect
- No account registration is required
- No personal information (name, email, phone) is collected
- No location data is accessed
- No usage analytics or crash reports are sent to us
- No data is sold or shared with third parties
In-App Purchases
Premium is a one-time purchase, not a recurring charge. It is processed entirely through Apple's App Store on iPhone and iPad and through Google Play on Android, and is subject to their privacy policies. We do not have access to your payment information. On Android, the app only asks Google Play whether your account has purchased Premium and keeps a yes/no flag on your device.
Data Export
When you use the share/export feature, report content is shared only with apps or services you explicitly choose. WorkLog does not send this data anywhere automatically.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
